Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026.
These terms cover the Mailvie app for the Mac and this website. By installing or using Mailvie you agree to them.
The licence
- Mailvie is licensed, not sold. A paid plan gives you a personal licence to use the app for as long as the plan runs; a lifetime plan has no end date.
- One licence covers one Mac at a time. You can deactivate a Mac in the app and activate another.
- Do not share or resell licence keys, and do not try to get around the licence check.
- Without a plan the app still opens, reads and searches your mail. Other features need a plan or a running trial.
Plans, trial and payment
- Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout.
- The monthly and yearly plans start with a 7-day free trial. A card is taken when the trial starts and charged when it ends, unless you cancel first.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew until you cancel. Cancel any time in the customer portal; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- The lifetime plan is a single payment with no trial.
- Payments are handled by Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record, under its own terms.
Refunds
If Mailvie is not right for you, write to [email protected] and ask. We would rather refund you than keep an unhappy customer.
Your mail and your accounts
- Mailvie connects your Mac to mail services you choose. You are responsible for your accounts with those services and for what you send.
- AI features use your own key with an AI provider you choose. That provider's terms and charges apply to what you send it.
- Bulk tools such as unsubscribing and deleting act on your real mail. Deleted mail goes to the Trash, with time to undo.
No warranty
Mailvie is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it is free of faults or that it will always work with every mail service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost mail or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do.
